Importing Calendar in Mail Clients

MAC MAIL

1. Make sure that your computer is properly configured for iCloud calendar:

2. Open Calendar and select File > Import> Import. Locate the ICS calendar or event file you want to add to Calendar. Click Import **Note: Also you can double-click an ICS file to open and import it into Calendar

3. Select the calendar name that you would like to add these events to, and click OK. You can also select New Calendar as the destination from the menu.



OUTLOOK 2013


1. In Outlook, click File > Open > Import within Outlook 2013

2. Import from an iCalendar (ics) or vCalendar (vcs) File

3. Browse to the path containing your ICS File

4. Click Import

5. Calendar will be updated to your personal exchange calendar.



THUNDERBIRD

1. Start downloading the Lightning Calendar add-on (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/projects/calendar/)

Switch to Calendar Mode (menu Go -> Calendar)

Select File -> Open -> Calendar File to create a new calendar from the .ics file.

4.
Select File -> Import Calendar to import the .ics file into an existing calendar

Dragging the .ics file from the desktop to the main calendar view should import the file too

WINDOWS 8 MAIL
  1. Locate the calendar you want to add, and save it to a folder on your computer as an ICS file.

  2. In Outlook.com, go to your calendar.

  3. Click Import.

  4. Choose either Import into a new calendar or Import into an existing calendar.

To Import into a new calendar

  1. Browse to and select the ICS file that you saved.

  2. Enter a name for the calendar and choose a color.

  3. If you like, select a charm that will appear in every day that new events occur.

  4. Choose either Use the reminders that are already in your ICS file or Use default reminders for all your imported events. If you choose the latter, Calendar will give you a chance to review and/or change your reminders.

  5. Click Import.

Note

  • Event reminders can't be bulk-changed once you’ve imported them. You’ll have to change them one at a time.

To Import into an existing calendar

  1. Browse to and select the ICS file that you saved.

  2. Select which calendar you want to import into.

  3. Under Prevent duplicates, choose Only keep the new events, or Only keep the original events.

  4. Click Import into an existing calendar.

  5. In the Select which calendar list, select the calendar that you want to use.

  6. Under Prevent duplicates, choose either Only keep the new events or Only keep the original events.

  7. Choose either Use the reminders that are already in your ICS file or Use default reminders for all your imported events. If you choose the latter, Calendar will give you a chance to review and/or change your reminders.

  8. Click Import.





WINDOWS LIVE MAIL

  1. Go to the Windows Live Calendar webpage.

  2. Sign in with your Windows Live ID.

  3. On the toolbar above the calendar, click Subscribe.

  4. Select Import from an ICS file, and then click Browse.

  5. Browse to the ICS file, click it, and then click Open.

  6. Select Import into a new calendar.

  7. In the Calendar name box, type a name for the calendar.

  8. Next to Color, select a color for the calendar.

  9. Click Import calendar.

  10. Click Done.
