1. Open the Address
Book application
2.
Choose "Import"
from the File
menu
3.
Navigate to the
file that you
exported from
your previous
application and
select it from
the list of files
(ex:
contacts.csv).
Tip: If
you can not
select the
file, the Open
button will
not pulsate.
This may
indicate that
the file is
not in a
format that
the Address
Book can read
4.
Click Open.
Address Book
contacts will
be populated.
OUTLOOK 2013
1. In Outlook,
click File
> Open &
Export > Import/Export
*This starts the
Import and Export
Wizard
2.
Choose Import
from another
program or
file and
then click Next
3.
Choose Comma
Separated
Values
and click Next
4.
Browse to
the .csv file
you want to
import
5.
Under Options,
choose whether
to
replace
duplicates
(existing
contacts),
create
duplicate
contacts, or
not import
duplicates
6.
Click Next
and choose the
destination
folder for
your contacts.
Contacts
should be
selected by
default, but
if it's not,
scroll up or
down until you
find it.
You can also
choose a
different
folder, or
create
a new one

. Click Next

Make sure the
check box next
to Import
"file
name" (e.g.
contacts.csv)
is
selected

Don't click Finish
yet, because
you'll
need to 'map'
some of the
columns
in your CSV
file to
contact files
in Outlook.
Mapping can
help the
import
contacts turn
out just the
way you want.
Mapping
1.
Click Map
Customer Fields
button. The Map
Customer Fields
dialog box
appears
- Under From, you'll
see a box with the column names from the CSV file you're importing.
- Under To,
you'll see the standard fields that Outlook uses for contacts. If a
field matches a column in the
CSV file, you'll
see your column
under Mapped from.
- The fields Name, First
Name, and Last Name
are standard Outlook contact
fields, so if the contact
information in your fields has any
of those contact name, you're good
to go.
2. You'll probably need to do some manual
mapping. Once done,
click Finish
3. Your
contacts are now successfully imported into Outlook.
OUTLOOK EXPRESS
1. Start
Outlook
Express
2.
From the File
menu, select
the Import
submenu and
choose, Other
Address Book
3.
After
selecting Other
Address Book,
the Address
Import Tool
appears
4.
From the Address
Import Tool,
select the
application
that contains
the address
book you wish
to import into
Outlook
Express and
click Import.
The Address
Import Tool
searches the
selected
application's
address book
and imports
its content into
Outlook
Express.
5. On
the Address
Book Tool
click Close
THUNDERBIRD
1. Start Thunderbird
2.
Click Tools
and select Address
Book
3.
On the Address
Book,
select Tools
and then
select
Import.
4.
Select the Address
Books and
click Next
5.
Select
Text
file (LDFI,
.tab, .csv,
.txt)
and click
Next; select
the location
of the file
when prompted.
6.
Click
Finished.
WINDOWS 8 MAIL
1.
Visit http://people.live.com and
login with the same Microsoft
ID that you
synced with the People App
2.
Click on Manage
on the top and
click on Add
people
3.
Click
on Import
from a File
4.
Browse
and import
the CSV file
from the
computer
*Note:
It might take
some time for
the contacts
to be updated
in the
People
app in
your computer
WINDOWS LIVE
MAIL
1. Open Windows Live Mail,
and open you Contacts
2. Click on the Import ribbon button, and click on the Comma separated
values (.CSV) option
3. Click on Browse
4. Browse to where you saved the
exported .csv file on
your device and
click Open
***If
you would like
to add or remove
any of the
fields to
be included when
importing the contacts, then double
click on any
listed field and
check (add)
or uncheck (remove)
the Import
this field
box, and click
on OK
5.
When finished,
click on the Finish
button

Your contacts
